September '21 Classic Bokksu: Moon Festival

The September '21 box celebrated the Moon Festival! This festival goes by many names: Mid-Autumn Festival, Jugoya. All of these indicate the 15th night of the 8th lunar month, the night of the Harvest Moon.

In Japan, people put out decorations of pampas grass, enjoy tsukimi dango, and offer food to the moon to celebrate. For our celebration, we’ve curated a variety of snacks inspired by the night of a full moon including mochi, dark chocolate for the night sky, and round yellow senbei and mochi for the moon.
