For this month's tea selection, we decided to bring you something a little different. Genmaicha is a blend of sencha leaves and roasted brown rice. Though the rice was originally added as a way to increase tea production for more people and is why it was sometimes known as "people's tea", it's now become one of the most popular teas in Japan. The toasted flavor from the brown rice makes it especially comforting in the colder months.

Steep the tea bag in hot water for at least 1 minute or to taste. Shake the bag gently as you remove and enjoy.
