You’ve never experienced Japanese somen like this before! Using traditional techniques that have a 170-year history in Toyama prefecture, these noodles are made, stretched, and dried by hand in specific non-humid weather conditions to achieve the perfect smooth and chewy texture.

Whereas ramen noodles have a more elastic texture and are used for soup, somen noodles are thinner, more delicate, and can be eaten on their own or with your favorite sauces, soups, and dressings.

This unique set of somen noodles comes in various flavors, including sakura, pumpkin, purple sweet potato, paprika, matcha green tea, and original plain.

Perfect for gifts and celebrations, each batch of noodles is colored naturally and presented in a beautiful round fold inspired by flowers and mizuhiki (the Japanese art form of knot-tying).

Directions:

  1. Boil plenty of water (about 10 times the amount of dried noodles to be boiled) in a pot.
  2. Put the noodles in the pot of boiling water and boil them for about 1 minute without touching them, then boil them for about 3 minutes while loosening them with chopsticks.
  3. After boiling, remove the noodles to a colander and rinse well in cold water before use.

Boiling time is a rough guide, so please adjust it to your preference.
